Jane Russell was an American actor, singer and model. She had an estimated net worth of $40 million at the time of her passing on February 28 the 28th of February, 2011. Jane Russell is famous for being a bonafide sexual icon in the film industry. Jane Russell moved from the Midwest to California in order to get her first movie role in "The Outlaw" in 1943. She was the oldest child and the sole child of five kids to Geraldine Russell and Roy William Russell. She had four brothers: Thomas, Wallace, Jamie, and Kenneth. Her father was a 1st lieutenant in the U.S. Army, and her mother an actress as part of a traveling troupe. It was her mother who made arrangements for her to study piano early on, and Jane also became interested in acting and joined the stage production team at Van Nuys High School. She always wanted to be the next designer and, when she lost the support of her father, who was in his mid-40s, she took work as receptionist. Jane began modeling and studying drama and acting with Max Reinhardt's Theatrical Workshop at the urging of her mother.
